Their Legacy: The Peoples Ward, tells the story of the Gorebridge District Nursing Association which was founded immediately after WWI. Dr A Easterbrook approached the War and Pensions District Committee and made a winning argument for the creation of the Gorebridge District Nursing Association. The association would serve the people of Gorebridge and districts with healthcare for an affordable subscription rate relative to each persons household income.

This play tells the story of the nursing association through the characters which occupy the association. We invite you to watch a play full of; hope and struggle that captures the unique spirit of the Gorebridge community which is unlike any other.
